Neutral Colors is silent, soothing, harmonius in nature. Without neutralcolor, bright colors, exciting colors won‘t stand out.
Neutral colors actually balance out everything easily.
(Brown, grey color is what comes in our mind if anyone says about neutral color)
This Neutral colors are actually made up by mixing complementary colors on the color wheel ;for example - if you mix purple and yellow or red and green you will get BROWN
( Definitely it will be of different shades but... it will be brown )
Take the color wheel and de-saturate it. Boom .. you’ll get different shades of neutrals.
Warm side of color wheel will becomes brown (purplish brown,a reddish brown ,orangish brown, yellowish brown.
On the cool side of color wheel you’ll end up with grey (purplish grey, blueish grey, greenish grey)
All of these are not true neutral as they still consist of little bit pigment of full saturation color, and that's kind of make them like "pseudo neutral".
Universal neutrals are like Grey Brown Black and White.
In Selection of color while doing an interior of the room or any space, by using this neutral colors, everything in between is going to change dramatically depending on the light source that will be in that room.
Add bright color to get the focal attention but it should be in very less percentage.
Even while choosing light, make sure its color temperature should be neutral as well.
i.e) 4000k
Choosing light temperature which is warm or cool (3000k or 6000k) will not make the great impact.
For instance if you are planning to make a :
Minimalist space
Consider using White, black, Light grey and light cream.
Cosy space
Consider using warm undertone neutrals like brown, beige, light cream, tan.
Sophisticated space
Consider using grey, greenish grey, light grey, brown.
Hope this content helped you understand a lighter perspective of how neutral palette can be implemented in your desired space.
Thanks
